WELCOME

Welcome to our community, Sharing the Dharma!

We are dedicated to sharing the Dharma by hosting dharma retreats in beautiful Bali, Indonesia.

Inspired by our gurus Ven. Robina and Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s teachings on compassion and generosity, we aim to offer the supreme gift of Dharma to others.

Our mission is to facilitate and support not-for-profit Dharma retreats in Bali, providing both beginners and experienced practitioners on their spiritual journey with the opportunity to connect in person with inspiring Dharma teachers.

Our Story

Nim Dissanayake and Iffeisha Gordon-Toppin have been dedicated Dharma practitioners for over 20 years. Their spiritual journey has taken them through various traditions and lineages, ultimately guiding them to their root guru, Ven. Robina Courtin, and the FPMT (Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition) family.

Recently they have made the decision to step back from worldly responsibilities in order to focus more deeply on their spiritual development and individual practice. This commitment has led them to relocate from Perth, Western Australia to Bali, where they are entering into long-term self-retreat.

Throughout their years of practice, Nim and Iffeisha have both hosted retreats with Ven. Robina and have participated in numerous teachings and retreats.

Inspired by Ven. Robina's and their guru Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s emphasis on the practice of generosity — especially the supreme form of offering Dharma to others — they have chosen to integrate the hosting and support of retreats as part of their own spiritual path.

Following several invitations, Ven. Robina has kindly agreed to teach in Bali.

We hosted our first retreat in Bali with Ven. Robina October 29 - November 5, 2025. This retreat was the joyful fruition of Nim and Iffeisha's heartfelt aspiration.

It was also during this retreat that we made an offering to Ven. Robina for the Bodhicitta Trust and Ven. Robina made an offering in return to us with the advice to begin of a seed fund to continue hosting retreats and potentially invite other dharma teachers to Bali.

And in that moment Sharing the Dharma Retreats was officially started.
